Interviewing Techniques

In this lesson, we watched several different interview clips, where we learnt about the different techniques that these interviewers use to get as much information out of the interviewee as possible in as little questions as possible. This lesson let me develop new interviewing techniques. I learnt about putting these techniques into my own work, where I wrote questions in a similar manner to how these interviewers do, including on “Hot Ones” for example. We worked in groups in this workshop, where we had to ask different questions to our group to try and maintain a two-minute conversation from just 3 questions. I had learnt a lot from the work, because from just one of the three questions, I passed the two-minute mark, because of how the question started small to a much wider topic, ‘why’. The question was, “What is your go-to Fortnite loadout organising method and why?”. I thought this was very fun, and I’d like to be the interviewer more, to try and get more information out of them. This will again further help in the audio project coming up, allowing me to better understand using interviews.
