Theif Production and Filming

In this lesson, we learnt about how we could turn a script into a video shoot. This was challenging because we had to work together to determine the shots that we wanted to take. We all contributed to the shot list, with the types of shot and angles, including panning, compositions and the mood that we wanted to create with what we took. The research we previously did on different camera angles helped significantly to help us know what works for each scene.

In the second half, we had to go and film what we had planned, this had many challenges including difficulties with exposure with the lighting in the college. To fix this I asked to change the ISO and the aperture to make the exposure better even with the weird lighting, I also changed the white balance, due to it being off (it was too warm) This can be seen in the final footage that wouldn’t have been the same if I hadn’t changed it. We all worked together, filming different parts of the video. The work we had done beforehand was a good enough preparation that we could go out and film knowing exactly what we were doing.
