Reading Audio Levels

image.png

In this lesson we learnt about radio adverts and how we produce them. We were given a script to follow and a microphone. Our group followed the script of a car dealership, where we filmed inside in a quiet area with multiple takes to make one good clip, with the right amount of life to each segment of the AD. We were shown how to grab the audience's attention with a strong opening while maintaining conversational tones. While recording, I had to make sure the audio levels stayed between –6 and –12 for the best outcome with no clipping. This was a fun lesson, with some challenging parts such as keeping the levels right throughout to make sure no clipping happens, however i did it with no clipping.
