Media Language and Risk Assesments

In this lesson we learnt about the different aspects of advertisements that these companies use to draw the attention of a certain audience or a wider audience. For example we were told about imperatives, where they physically tell the audience to do something, such as Nike’s ‘Just Do It’ where they are telling the people to go with them and not other brands. We then used this as a way to incorporate it into our own work, and how slogans can be used to work with anything and draw the attention to the ad. We also learnt how to use risk assessments for booking equipment from Ed or for general use. This came In handy, as I sent one off the same day to ed to book equipment for my Advert production.
